WASHINGTON, April 4 /U.S. Newswire/ -- In response to news reports that Rep. Tom DeLay is planning to end his race for reelection and resign from Congress, Vision America President Dr. Rick Scarborough called the former House Majority Whip "a man of courage and commitment, and a friend of over 20 years."

"More than anyone in Washington, Tom DeLay fought our battles -- to end the horror of abortion, preserve the sanctity of marriage, rein-in a runaway judiciary and keep America one nation under God. We would be ingrates indeed if we did not take this occasion to express our appreciation for the contributions of this great man," Scarborough declared.

Vision America held a widely publicized War on Christians conference in Washington, D.C. last week. Rep. DeLay was a keynote speaker, along with Sen. John Cornyn, Alan Keyes, Phyllis Schlafly, Gary Bauer, Rabbi Aryeh Spero, Janet Parshall and evangelist Rod Parsley. The conference was covered by ABC World News Tonight, The Washington Post, USA Today, Time magazine and The Washington Times, among other media.

In an article in the online edition of Time, Rep. Delay credits the War on Christians Conference with helping him to make a decision about his future.

"I'm proud of Tom's participation in our landmark conference," Scarborough said. "And I would remind the media that in America, a man -- even a terrorist suspect -- is innocent until proven guilty. Of course, in the eyes of some, that's not the case if the accused is a conservative Christian."

The author of "Liberalism Kills Kids," Scarborough added: "Heroes come and go. The cause of returning America to its Judeo-Christian roots continues."

Besides its conference, Vision America is planning a series of rallies across the United States to awaken Middle America to the reality of the War on Christians. For more information on Vision America, see their Web site -- http://www.visionamerica.us -- or call Don Feder at 508-405-1337.

So what ever happened to the Judeo-Christian Council for Constitutional Restoration? Was it another one of the nutbag extreme religious rights' non profit set ups to solicit dollars online.

Many of these same nonprofit type temporarily set up organizaitons or groups are now missing in action, or the domains are "for sale" on the web, or they are linked directly to one of the websites of Rev. Rick Scarborough, James Dobson, Janet Folgers, Alan Keyes, etc. For example, type in http://www.restorethecommandments.com into your browser. Or try http://stopactivistjudges.com and see where that takes you.

Why so much apparent deception as far as exactly who or what these guys are doing? Maybe it is a PR type effort to throw out stupid Press Releases like this below and build your name recognition? Or maybe it is to solicit dollars online and not report the revenue? Rev. Rick Scarborough's is no expert on government, or our Constitution, obviously. Had his views been prevalent a hundred years ago we women would probalby not be able to vote, African Americans would still be owned, Interacial marriages would be forbidden, and on and on and on. Stupid people. Scary shit.

Judeo-Christian Council for Constitutional Restoration Chairman Scarborough Deplores Senate Sell-Out on Judicial Nominations
5/24/2005 10:39:00 AM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To: National Desk, Political Reporter
Contact: Don Feder, 508-405-1337

WASHINGTON, May 24 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Judeo-Christian Council for Constitutional Restoration Chairman Rick Scarborough today deplored the so-called compromise which preserves the un- Constitutional, un-democratic filibuster of conservative judicial nominees."

Said Scarborough, "This 'compromise' amounts to a complete capitulation by the 7 moderate Republicans who signed on."

"It allows votes on three nominees, while preserving the permanent filibuster on others," Scarborough declared. "The Senators who struck this bargain have only postponed the day of reckoning, which surely will come when the President seeks to fill anticipated vacancies on the Supreme Court."

Scarborough said the 7 Republican sell-outs are implicitly condoning the left's tactic of using a filibuster to permanently block an up-or-down vote on nominees who fail to meet its standard.

"By a permanent filibuster - which this supposed compromise maintains 'under extraordinary circumstances' - Democrats are still free to indefinitely block any discussion of or vote on conservative candidates for the federal bench," Scarborough charged. "Thus, a minority of Senators will be allowed to continue to derail the democratic process and thwart the will of the American people."

Said Scarborough: "Harry Reid didn't win the last presidential election. Nor did Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Lindsey Graham or John Warner. When the American people voted for this president they said they wanted him to fill vacancies on the federal bench with qualified candidates."

Scarborough noted, "Historically, the role of the Senate has been to debate nominees, then vote on them - not to indefinitely block a discussion and a vote by use of this illegal device. A minority of liberal Senators have given themselves an un- constitutional veto over the president's candidates for the federal judiciary. Incredibly, 7 Republicans are willing to go along with this."

"The left is shouting for joy and dancing with glee," Scarborough charged. "Senate Minority leader Reid called it a 'significant victory,' while the leader of the National Abortion Rights Action League expressed satisfaction that the filibuster has been 'preserved for upcoming Supreme Court nominations.' And this John McCain and company call a compromise?"

Scarborough urged voters to call their Senators and express their outrage "over this betrayal of democracy, decency and fairness." He pledged that the Judeo-Christian Council for Constitutional Restoration will 're-double our efforts to eliminate the permanent filibuster - now and in the future."

A story in the May 23 issue of Time Magazine profiling Scarborough and other Christian activists, acknowledged his leadership role in the fight to confirm conservative judicial nominees. In April, the Judeo-Christian Council for Constitutional Restoration conducted the widely publicized CONFRONTING THE JUDICIAL WAR ON FAITH Conference in Washington, D.C.

Religious "SaveALife" Hypocracy

Isnt it odd how these right wing preachers attempt to save the baby, save the sperm, save the egg, save the stem cell for Jesus, go the mile for the unborn, whatever; but then in turn oppose stem cell research when their own children are dying of unknown mystery diseases, or abandon their kids. If they don't fight for cures they might be found shunning their gay and lesbian kids.

How tragic. How lacking in "family values" Here are a few of the (*reported) religious or Right Wing Fundies with gay children/relatives who have been ignored, abandoned, or shunned. Alan Keyes with out a doubt earns the TURD of the Year Father award. Why do you guys put out so much effort to save the sperm when you go on to abandon your own?

1. Alan Keyes Out Supercool Lesbian Daughter
2. Jesse Helms' Out Lesbian Daughter
3. The Lahaye's Closeted Son (who works for mommy dearest at CWA!)
4. Phylis Schlafely's Out and Odd Son
5. Operation Rescues Randall Terry's Out Son
6. Newt Gingrich's sister Candice. (plus another [cute] gay nephew in Atlanta)

Note Here - none of these childrens are in the "EX GAY" column, probably because the whole Ex Gay movement is a total fraud. Most of these kids seem to beOUT and happy and successful and well adjusted despite their hateful parents, especially Big Turd of the Year Alan Keyes. It is really the same old Hypocracy of the religious right wingers. How Sad.

Rick Scarborough Report September 2006

Rally in Kansas City
by Remarkable Unity

Approximately 1000 people gathered in Kansas City, Missouri, to hear Catholic Bishop Robert Finn, Ambassador Alan Keyes, Scientist Shao-Chun Chang, MD, PhD, and myself, as we examined the claims of the proponents of Amendment 2 to the Missouri Constitution, as well as the facts of those claim, on Monday evening. To say that the facts do not support the claims is an understatement of enormous consequence to the unborn.

Proponents of Amendment Two, which they refer to as the Missouri Cures Amendment, deny that they are proposing the cloning of human beings, but as Dr. Chang so succinctly proves from science, that claim is a factual lie. Increasingly now, the proponents of this devilish idea are retreating to rhetoric that in effect says, “but the embryo is so small and early that it really doesn’t matter,” an argument which taken to its inevitable conclusion so devalues human life that men of Christian character must oppose it…and we are!

Featured at the rally were one year old twins who were formerly frozen embryos. These two beautiful babies and their proud parents appeared beside President Bush as he vetoed Federal legislation that would have funded embryonic stem cell research, using frozen embryos. Every time an embryo has stem cells extracted, a human being dies. Thankfully these beautiful babies were spared.

The Kansas City Star referred to the rally as part revival, part science lecture and part political rally. That was precisely what we were trying to accomplish. Our rallies include incredible praise and worship, led and orchestrated by one of America’s foremost songwriters and musicians, Kim Noblitt. In that atmosphere of praise and worship, Bishop Finn, of the Kansas City-St. Joseph Catholic Diocese, Ambassador Keyes, and I, each took different tracts to explain why Christians must unify in their opposition to this Amendment. Hearing from a Catholic Bishop, a seasoned and Harvard educated Black politician/diplomat, and a Baptist Preacher diffuses the accusation that this is a Black or White or Evangelical or Catholic or Baptist issue…this is a God issue. One that people of all faiths, color or station in life, should unite around.

Our next rally will be held on September 21 in Springfield, Missouri, at the National Assembly of God headquarters, in the historic Central Assembly of God Church. This rally is shaping up to be the biggest rally yet, with an anticipated crowd exceeding 2500 people. Please pray for us as we continue this effort to move Pastors in Missouri to stand up and speak out against this all out assault on the unborn. Funding has now been provided to conduct another rally in Missouri which will be announced in our next Rick Scarborough Report.

Vision America invited to Rally Pastors in South Dakota

As I prepare this report, I am enroute to Rapid City, South Dakota, where I am scheduled for two days of meetings with significant pastors and leaders around the state, to discuss the possibility of conducting three rallies in key cities in the state, in an effort to stem the assault of pro-abortion forces bent on preserving their all out terrorism against the unborn. Last year, the legislature of South Dakota became the first in the nation to ban all abortions. Unfortunately, Federal laws legalizing abortion trump state bans, but the significance of the state ban lies in the fact that is will certainly precipitate a Supreme Court showdown over the validity of the 1973 “Roe v Wade,” decision which even proponents of abortion on demand agree is bad law and will be overturned, throwing the whole abortion debate back to the states where it belongs. When that day comes, dozens of states will join South Dakota in banning abortion and rescuing children from the cruel fate of the abortionists.

NARAL, Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and other leftist groups who profit from abortions cannot allow that to happen, so they are pouring millions into the overturning of this legislation. And they are winning…but not for long, IF the church, led by her Pastors, gets involved.

That’s precisely why we have been invited to come into South Dakota and work. While I am honored to be invited in, I must discern whether or not this is a calling from the Lord. We are stretched financially and personnel wise by the demands in Missouri, and we will drown as an organization unless we know that God has issued a “Macedonian Call.” (See Acts 16:1-2).

Please make this a matter of sincere prayer as we seek to discern His bidding and do His will, not our own. I greatly depend on the prayers of many of you who faithfully read this Report each week. I will report my findings back to you

"We Belong" the Movie...watch it, and please vote!

It takes a lot of courage to be a gay kid in America - especially in a rural city like in this documentary. Be sure to watch the movie and vote! I think the winning documentary wins $100,000 - which would be an amazing reward for the courage of this cute young twenty year old.

Where are the preachers teaching acceptance and tolerance these days? This is a really great short movie: Please take the time to vote!

When the going gets tough, the preacher men start pushing bumper stickers. Sort of cheesy, Rev. Rick. Could we find a porceline Values Voter figurine as well?

Scarborough/GOP Talk Causing Death Threats

Republican talk of "activist judges" is causing death threats against Supreme Court justices
by John in DC - 3/15/2006 08:12:00 PM

From AP:

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said she and former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor have been the targets of death threats from the "irrational fringe" of society, people apparently spurred by Republican criticism of the high court.

Ginsburg revealed in a speech in South Africa last month that she and O'Connor were threatened a year ago by someone who called on the Internet for the immediate "patriotic" killing of the justices.

Security concerns among judges have been growing.

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter joked earlier this year that Justice John Paul Stevens should be poisoned. Over the past few months O'Connor has complained that criticism, mainly by Republicans, has threatened judicial independence to deal with difficult issues like gay marriage.

Worry is not limited to the Supreme Court. Three quarters of the nation's 2,200 federal judges have asked for government-paid home security systems, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said this week.

Ginsburg said the Web threat was apparently prompted by legislation in Congress, filed by Republicans, that would bar judges from relying on foreign laws or court decisions.

"It is disquieting that they have attracted sizable support. And one not-so-small concern - they fuel the irrational fringe," she said in a speech posted online by the court earlier this month and first reported Wednesday by LegalTimes.com.

According to Ginsburg, someone in a Web site chat room wrote: "Okay commandoes, here is your first patriotic assignment ... an easy one. Supreme Court Justices Ginsburg and O'Connor have publicly stated that they use (foreign) laws and rulings to decide how to rule on American cases. This is a huge threat to our Republic and Constitutional freedom. ... If you are what you say you are, and NOT armchair patriots, then those two justices will not live another week."

Andrew Sullivan to Pastor Ted Haggard

I wish I had the talent of Andrew Sullivan when it comes to writing. How perfect.

"There is part of my life that is so repulsive and dark that I've been warring against it all of my adult life," - pastor Ted Haggard, referring, I suppose, to his homosexual orientation.

For those who still - amazingly - believe that being gay is somehow a "choice," consider Haggard. If he could have chosen not to be gay, don't you think he would have? Even though he apparently believes being gay is "repulsive and dark" (while it is, in fact, just another wonderful way to be human), he still cannot prevail against it. It is integral to him. It has been "all of [his] adult life".

Rev.Rick Scarborough Website Stats

So Whats up with Rev. Rick Scarborough's Website(s)? According to Alexa, his website http://www.visionamerica.us ranks:

2,205,429 with a three month change down 856,765
Page views per user 3.2 down 6 % over the last three months

My analysis : Pathetic! Compare that to LGBT blogger Pam Spaulding http://www.pamspaulding.com ranked 172,895. Pathetic for Rev. Rick especially considering he sends out a weekly email blast to his flock -- apparently who are either (1) very small in number (i.e. misrepresented by Rev. Rick) and/or (2) very uninterested in the message of Rev.Rick.

Why Rev. Rick Scarborough is your website ranking so pitiful? Reply here please!

Also, what is up with all the sites you have out there on the web. The only thing in common is that they all seem to have a donations page. Here are a few that are apparently under your "Vision America" control.

East Texas Hate Watch -W.N. Otwell

A Phelps protege, this Baptist preacher runs a church cult in Mt. Enterprise, Texas..just up the road from his friend Rev. Rick Scarborough
+++

W.N. Otwell, pastor of God Said Ministries in Mt. Enterprise, Texas, has attended UBF conferences and, according to Dixon, is deeply involved in the movement. Otwell believes that "God uses the white race as leaders," and "the black race ... is a servitude people."

Explaining the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing as "God's payback" for the deaths of Branch Davidians after a standoff with federal agents in Waco, Texas, Otwell once said: "God did not mind killing a bunch of women and kids. God talks about slaughter! 'Don't leave one suckling! Don't leave no babies! Don't leave nothing! Kill them! Destroy them!'"

Carpetbagger Report On Rev. Scarborough

Comments from the Peanut Gallery regarding Rev. Rick Scarborough of Lufkin, Texas based Vision America.

From: The Carpetbagger Report -November 12, 2006

Missouri: The Rev. Rick Scarborough, a kind of less portly, less intelligent Jerry Falwell, departed Texas and traveled north to help James Talent keep his Senate seat and stop stem-cell research. He failed on both counts.

There is one other loser I would like to single out: the Mainstream Media. Good old MSM was so eager to help the GOP that it spent three whole days blowing an aberrant poll all out of proportion to make it appear that the Republicans were closing the gap. Thankfully the voters had other ideas.

Scarborough Email Archives 6/26/2006

From Rev. Rick Scarborough of Vision American
From: Dr. Rick Scarborough [rick@rsreport.org]
Sent: Monday, June 26, 2006 4:46 PM
Subject: XXX, I need you as a Patriot Partner

Dear XXX,

How far we have come in such a relatively short time. On June 1,
2002 I resigned First Baptist Church of Pearland, TX after 12 years of ministry to pursue full-time this mission of mobilizing Pastors across America.

In the spring of this year we received confirmation that The Church Report, an online journal that reaches 90,000 churches, had selected Vision America as one of the top Christian political organizations in America. Certainly God has chosen to bless and anoint our efforts to call Pastors to be salt and light in the moral/civic arena. Read on to find out about our latest important fight against human cloning in the state of Missouri.
http://www.visionamerica.us/site/R?i=mGCCcET7pSD-q65VuwjiGw..

Much of what we have been able to do so quickly can be attributed to a small number of large donors who have been gracious to assist our efforts. But what Vision America needs now more than ever, are hundreds of small, but faithful Patriot Partners, who will invest a minimum of $1 a day, to help solidify our base operations so we can function without facing the ups and downs of one time large gifts.

I am asking you to partner with us as one of the initial 150 Patriot Partners who will help us take our country back. Click here to join with us!
http://www.visionamerica.us/site/R?i=Nt_zC2mXbGDjUb5a7ZG1uw..

God has positioned Vision America to be a voice to Pastors. I'm sure you agree with me that our pulpits can no longer be silent on the vital issues of the day. We have been mobilizing fervent men of God for nearly a dozen years now, but there are still so many more that we need to reach!

Click here to join with us as a Patriot Partner and help us mobilize thousands of Pastors for effective civic action.
http://www.visionamerica.us/site/R?i=KNGs7j5ov1nJrk3wMW7y2w..

During the next five months we will be focusing most of our efforts on the state of Missouri, where the next major battle for the soul of America is being waged. Millions of dollars are pouring into that state in an effort to pass a Constitutional Amendment allowing human cloning for the first time in American history.

At the outset of this battle, we are more than 20 points behind in the polls. The big spenders have convinced the voters that human cloning for medical experiments is an acceptable proposition.
From now until election day, Vision America is allocating $100,000 toward educating Pastors otherwise.

We will hold five major rallies around the state featuring Alan Keyes and myself, and a minimum of 10 Pastor Briefings, each gathering up to 100 Pastors. We are also planning a campaign on the airwaves with allies at American Family Radio and the Bott Radio Network offering their communication networks for our efforts.

I cannot sit back and watch this happen and I know that there are men of God in local congregations who feel the same. We only need to locate, educate, and activate these pastors for the cause of life.

I will be spending the next 5 months looking for Patriot Pastors who will...stand up, speak up and refuse to give up...in Missouri.
You can be there with me by becoming a Patriot Partner, giving just $1 per day or $30 per month. I want you to feel that when you next see me speaking out on a national TV program for our values, that you are there, as we partner together.

Click here if you will help us mobilize these pastors in Missouri and other states.
http://www.visionamerica.us/site/R?i=WegWTvmKnIblQ6yx2L9Ojg..

Your small but significant investment will send a powerful message to the ACLU, Hollywood elite, and other liberal forces and show them that we still believe in an America that respects life, family, and traditional values.

Thank you in advance for your personal support!

Sincerely,

Rick Scarborough
President
Vision America

P.S. In exchange for your gift, I will send you an autographed copy of my recently published book, Liberalism Kills Kids. This book book exposes a cultural coup d'etat that has left our families gasping for air and it's your free gift for joining with us as a Patriot Partner.

Pentecostal Christian Hypocrites

I thought Bob Jones was just an unacredited University, but now I learn that the real Rev. Bob Jones was not only crazy for God but was crazy for the ladies in the church office! Hypocrites everywhere!

Lots of homos in the ranks according to the list below, dont you think Rev. Rick? Notice how very few seem to be "ex gays" Some have kept their cock craving issues hidden under the rug, others pulled out a $425,000 check to shut up their black boyfriends, and others just seem to ignore their front page public outings (Liardon) and affairs. Not real "family friendly" is it when your boinking the hottie choir director every time your preacher wife and pastor daughter leave the church to run to the Circle K to grab a Diet Coke. Of course the really sad ones are the really brainwashed self haters like Ted Haggard who may have to spend five years in a dark closet (or whatever) to possibly brainwash the gay demons out of their lives, with a ex gay success rate John Paulk would admit is very unpromising.

Even worse may be the guys like the aging gay preacher Paul Cain who was once called a "prophet" --the poor old gay guy gets drunk while out chasing dick and runs off the road and wakes up to find himself kidnapped by a bunch of fundamentalist nuts and blonde bimbos clutching the Bible with a plan to turn the old prophet into a heterosexual within five years or so, unless he dies first.

Sorry Charlie, but five years of "reconstruction" is a shitty deal when you are seventy years old like Cain (or even fifty years old) and realize you missed out on a lifetime of happiness and frienships and t-dances and community by not just coming out and being the very person that God made you.

I find their stories sad and so tragic. Personally, I am so very thankful (delighted, actually!)that our God made me just the way I am - Gay! I am thankful that I knew about it early in my life, like in the third grade! I am thankful that Joe Kaye grabbed my hand and kissed me one night in high school and help me make my own personal coming out such a positive event for me, and also for helping me confirm that Robert Lafosse wasnt the only other gay guy in my hometown. Lafosse had a great future in Ballet in NYC.

Thus, Staying in the closet and asking God to change your sexual orientation has been a tragic waste of good years for these Pentacostals...so THANK YOU GOD FOR MY FAMILY AND FOR HELPING MY LIFE TURN OUT THE WAY IT HAS!

---------------------------------------------
http://www.wayoflife.org/fbns/recent-pentecostal-scandals.html

From its inception the Pentecostal movement has been marred deeply by moral
scandals, as we have documented in our new illustrated 317-page book The
Pentecostal-Charismatic Movements: Its History and Its Error. If the movement
had the fullness of the Holy Spirit unction and power that it claims, we would
not see such an exhibition of the flesh, but in fact moral scandals have
continued to plague it in recent history. The following are some prominent
examples:

In 1989 JIM BAKKER, head of the very influential Pentecostal
PTL television program went to prison for defrauding his followers out of $158
million. He was paroled in 1994 after serving five years of a 45-year sentence.
His trial brought to light his lavish lifestyle, which included six luxurious
homes and even an air-conditioned dog house. Prosecutors charged Bakker with
diverting to his own use $3.7 million of the money that had been given to his
“ministry.” Bakker also committed adultery with church secretary Jessica Hahn
and paid more than $250,000 in an attempt to hush up the matter. Bakker’s wife
and the former co-host of the PTL Club, Tammy Faye, divorced him while he was in
prison and married Roe Messner, an old family friend whose company helped build
PTL’s Heritage USA resort complex. Today Tammy Faye has a non-judgmental
ministry to homosexuals. She appears at “gay-pride” events nationwide, including
a Tammy Faye look-alike contest in Washington, D.C., where she was “surrounded
by men in falsies and pancake makeup…” (Charisma News, November 2002). In
January 2000 Bakker told Larry King, “Every person who died in the [Jewish]
Holocaust is in heaven.” Bakker defended this heretical doctrine in a letter to
the editor that appeared in Charisma magazine in June of that year.

A
year after the PTL scandal first hit the world’s headlines, JIMMY SWAGGART, one
of the leading Pentecostal preachers of modern times, created his own scandal
when he was caught with a prostitute. At the time, Swaggart had a 6,000-member
congregation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a 270-acre headquarters, a Bible
College, an influential television ministry that reached to many parts of the
world (broadcast on 9,700 stations and cable outlets), and a ministry income of
$142-million per year. Swaggart is the cousin of Jerry Lee Lewis and both can
pound the piano, but whereas Jerry Lee pursued a flamboyant rock & roll
career Jimmy pursued a flamboyant gospel career. A report from a Swaggart
crusade in Calgary, Alberta, described the “gospel music at acid-rock volumes”
and said “it is a good show” with Swaggart “hammering away at the grand piano,
sweating and gesturing like Elvis Presley” and “working the audience like Frank
Sinatra” (The Courier News, Elgin, Ill., May 20, 1991, p. 5A). Swaggart refused
to stay away from the pulpit for a year as the Assemblies of God in Louisiana
stipulated for his discipline, so he was disbarred but he continued preaching
anyway. He lost three-fourths of his television audience and his Bible college
students and a large percentage of his church members; his finances crumbled.
But the Jimmy Swaggart scandal wasn’t over even though he claimed that when he
asked God, “Lord, do you still want me to take this work?” God replied
emphatically, “Yesssss! You’re in better shape today that you’ve ever been
before” (“Swaggart Back in Pulpit with Tales of Nightmares and Revelation,”
Religious News Service, May 23, 1988; reprinted in Christian News, June 3, 1988,
p. 5). In a television broadcast in May 1988 Swaggart had the audacity to boast,
“You are looking at a clean preacher!” and “I do not lie!” (Don Matzat, “The
Same Ol' Jimmy,” Christian News, May 16, 1988). Perhaps this is because Swaggart
had sought counseling from Oral Roberts and Roberts had observed demons with
long fingernails digging into Swaggart’s flesh and had cast them out (Huntsville
Times, Huntsville, Alabama, AP report, March 31, 1988; reported from Calvary
Contender, April 15, 1988). Just like that. The exorcism didn’t last though. In
1991 Swaggart was again in hot water when police in Indio, California, stopped
him on a traffic charge and found that the woman riding with him was a
prostitute. In spite of all of this Swaggart is still swaggering, though his
crowd isn’t very large. On his Sept. 12, 2004, program he said, “I’ve never seen
a man in my life I wanted to marry. And I’m gonna be blunt and plain; if one
ever looks at me like that, I’m gonna kill him and tell God he died.”

By
the 1980s Pentecostal evangelist PETER POPOFF had a ministry on 51 television
channels and 40 radio stations and an annual income of seven million dollars. He
also held healing crusades in many cities, during which he would exercise a
“word of knowledge” by calling out the names, addresses, and illnesses of
strangers who were in attendance. In 1986 the news broke that Popoff’s amazing
“revelations” were actually broadcast to him by his wife after she had conversed
with members of the audience. She transmitted her information by radio signal
and Peter could hear her voice through a tiny receiver in his ear. A team of
skeptics discovered the ruse and recorded the private broadcasts using a
scanning receiver and recording equipment (Los Angeles Times, May 11, 1986).
When questioned about the matter by John Dart, religion writer for the Los
Angeles Times, Popoff replied that his wife only supplied him with about 50% of
the information and the rest he got from the Lord! Popoff was forced to file for
bankruptcy in 1987 but by 1990 he was back in business with a new book entitled
Dreams, which he announced in a full-page ad in Charisma magazine

ROBERT
TILTON, who was voted one of the most popular Pentecostals by Charisma magazine
readers in 1983 and appeared on the cover of Charisma in July 1985, was the
founder of the Word of Faith Satellite Network, host of Success-N-Life
broadcasts, and founder and pastor of the Word of Faith World Outreach Center in
Farmers Branch, Texas. He taught the Kenneth Hagin Word-Faith doctrines and
promised prosperity and healing to those who supported his ministry and
exercised faith. He wrote, “You are ... a God kind of creature” (Tilton, God’s
Laws of Success, pp. 170--71). In 1990 he said: “Being poor is a sin, when God
promises prosperity. New house? New car? That’s chicken feed. That’s nothing
compared to what God wants to do for you” (John Macarthur, Charismatic Chaos, p.
285). In 1991, when his ministry was taking in $80 million, Tilton’s empire was
shaken when ABC-TV’s PrimeTime Live exposed his extravagant lifestyle and his
shady fund-raising practices. His estate included an 11,000-square-foot home
near Dallas, a condominium in Florida, a yacht, and other assets worth $90
million. The show reported that Tilton’s ministry threw thousands of unread
prayer requests into the trash even though Tilton claimed to pray over them. He
had even claimed: “I laid on top of those prayer requests so much that the
chemicals actually got into my bloodstream, and ... I had two small strokes in
my brain” (Robert Tilton, Success-N-Life, November 22, 1991). Though Tilton
protested that he was the victim of falsehood and sued ABC for libel, the case
was thrown out of the courts. Because of the scandal Tilton lost much of his
television audience and most of his church members, but he is still on the air
and still preaching the prosperity gospel and still begging for donations and
still promising God’s blessing on those who give.

In 1991 Kansas City
prophet BOB JONES’ tapes were removed from the Vineyard Ministries International
product catalog after he admitted to “a moral failure” (Lee Grady, “Wimber Plots
New Course for Vineyard,” Charisma, Feb. 1993, p. 64). Jones was using his
alleged spiritual authority and “prophetic anointing” to induce women to
disrobe.

Pentecostal preacher JAMIE BUCKINGHAM (1933-92) was the author
of 40 books that sold 20 million copies, editor-in-chief of Ministries Today
magazine, a columnist for Charisma magazine, and pastor of the 2,000-member
Tabernacle Church in Melbourne, Florida. Buckingham began his ministry as a
Southern Baptist pastor but after being “baptized by the spirit” at a Full
Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship meeting, he became a Pentecostal. Buckingham’s
“spirit baptism” made him a radical ecumenist who called for unity between
Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, and Pentecostals. In an article entitled
“Bridge Builders” (Charisma, March 1992, p. 90), he said there is no higher
calling than ecumenical bridge building and he praised David Duplessis for
building bridges between Pentecostals and Roman Catholics, and Jewish rabbi
Yechiel Eckstein for building bridges between Jews and Christians. Buckingham
taught that God has promised healing through Christ’s atonement, and when he was
diagnosed with cancer in 1990 many Pentecostals, including Oral Roberts,
prophesied his healing. Buckingham said that God told him personally that he was
going to live to be “at least 100 years of age in good health and with a clear
mind.” The April 1991 issue of Charisma magazine featured this testimony in “My
Summer of Miracles.” Note the following excerpt from that article:

“One
day my wife … suddenly spoke aloud [and] said, ‘Your healing was purchased at
the cross.’ … Here is what I discovered. YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SPEAK. If you want to
change something, you must believe it enough to speak it. … If you talk poverty,
you’ll have it. If you say you’re sick, you’ll be (and remain) sick. … despite
what the doctors said, I refused to say ‘My cancer.’ It was not mine. It was the
devil’s. I didn’t have cancer. I had Jesus. The cancer was trying to have me,
but THE WORD OF GOD SAID I WAS HEALED THROUGH WHAT JESUS DID ON CALVARY. … I
popped a videotape into my VCR and lay down on the sofa. … The tape was an Oral
Roberts’ sermon … I came up off the sofa, shouting, ‘I’M HEALED!’ My wife leaped
out of her chair and shouted, ‘Hallelujah!’ For the next 30 minutes all we did
was walk around the house shouting thanks to God and proclaiming my healing”
(Jamie Buckingham, “My Summer of Miracles,” Charisma, April 1991).

Ten
months after the publication of this article, on February 17, 1992, Jamie
Buckingham died of cancer about 40 years shy of his 100th birthday. Not only did
Jamie Buckingham lead others astray with his false teaching but he also deceived
himself.

The Cathedral at Chapel Hill near Atlanta, Georgia, founded by
EARL PAULK, has been plagued with moral scandals and radical false teaching. At
the height of his power Paulk was exceedingly influential. He authored many
books, had a large television ministry, was the founder of the International
Charismatic Bible Ministries, and a “prophet” in Bill Hamon’s Christian
International Network of Prophetic Ministries. Paulk amalgamated the Word-Faith
doctrine with Reconstructionist or Dominion theology and promoted it widely
among Pentecostals. As for the Word-Faith doctrine, Paulk echoes Kenneth Hagin
and Kenneth Copeland and others when he wrote: “Just as dogs have puppies and
cats have kittens, God has little gods. Until we comprehend that we are gods,
and begin to act like little gods, we can’t manifest the Kingdom of God” (Paulk,
Satan Unmasked, pp. 96, 97). Paulk merges this Kingdom Now Word-Faith theology
(that Christians are little gods with the authority of Christ on earth) with the
dominion doctrine the churches are to unify and then retake the world from Satan
and ruler over it before Christ returns. He gives this teaching in books such as
Satan Unmasked (1984), Held in the Heavens Until (1985), and Ultimate Kingdom
(1986). Paulk wrote in his book The Wounded Body of Christ, “We need not wonder
whether He [Jesus] will come back; HE CANNOT. Christ can only return when the
people of God have reached that place of unity in which the Spirit and the Bride
can say, ‘Come’” (p. 73). By 1992, Chapel Hill Harvester Church had 12,000
members and was one of the most prosperous churches in America, but that year
DON PAULK, who had taken over as senior pastor from his brother Earl, admitted
having an “improper” relationship with a woman staffer. He resigned but was
immediately reinstated by the church council. Allegations were made by a group
of women about sexual relationships with the Paulks and in 2001 another female
church member filed a lawsuit claiming that Paulk molested her when she was a
child and into her teenage years, but the accusations were denied and swept
under the rug. In August 2005 long-time church member and soloist Mona Brewer
and her husband Bobby, who was a major financial supporter of the church, filed
a lawsuit against Earl Paulk alleging that she was manipulated into being his
paramour for 14 years. Brewer says that the members were conditioned to give
unconditional obedience to the pastor, who called himself “Archbishop Paulk,”
and that he taught her that those who are spiritually exalted can have sexual
relationships and it isn’t adultery. He called it “kingdom relationships.” She
says that Paulk even shared her with family members and visiting Charismatic
preachers. This case was featured on CCN’s Paula Zahn Now program on Jan. 19,
2006, but as of March 2006 Paulk’s television program was still broadcast on
Trinity Broadcasting Network.

In 2000, CLARENCE MCCLENDON, pastor of
Pentecostal Church of the Harvest International in Los Angeles and prominent
“bishop” in the International Communion of Charismatic Churches, divorced his
wife and a mere week later married another woman. His first wife, who accused
him of fathering a child out of wedlock, took their three children and moved to
Hawaii, but Clarence went right on as if nothing had happened and he had all of
the support he needed. Charisma magazine observed that “in just a few months,
members of his new congregation were dancing in the aisles in their new
facility, and the talented young preacher was back on the conference circuit, no
questions asked. ... McClendon enjoys the spotlight on Christian television, and
he shares pulpits with top leaders in our movement” (Lee Grady, “Sin in the
Camp,” Charisma, Feb. 2002).

In 2002 ROBERTS LIARDON, pastor of Embassy
Christian Center in Irvine, California, and influential Pentecostal author,
acknowledged that he had “a homosexual relationship” (Charisma News, Jan. 31,
2002), though he was back in the ministry without weeks.

On September
12, 2004, the Los Angeles Times reported that PAUL CROUCH OF TRINITY
BROADCASTING NETWORK had paid $425,000 in 1998 to Enoch Lonnie Ford, an employee
at TBN, to keep him from going public with his allegation that they had a
homosexual encounter. It was after Ford threatened to sue that Crouch paid
almost a half-million dollars to keep the matter quiet. TBN also paid thousands
of dollars in debts that Ford had accrued. Crouch denied the allegations and
tried to blacken the character of his accuser, which was not difficult to do.
Ford is a convicted sex and drug offender, but it seems very strange that Crouch
would pay such a large sum to a man if there was no truth to his allegation.
Ford wrote his testimony of the affair but it was sealed by the courts after
Crouch sued to have the matter squelched.

In 2004, PAUL CAIN, the most
prominent Pentecostal prophet, was exposed as a homosexual and an alcoholic
(“Paul Cain, “Latter Rain Prophet of Renown Is Now Discredited,” The Plumbline,
December 2004).

THE
PENTECOSTAL-CHARISMATIC MOVEMENTS: THE HISTORY AND THE ERROR. I have been
examining and re-examining the Pentecostal-Charismatic movements for more than
three decades since I was led to Christ by a Pentecostal in 1973 and began to
seek God’s will about tongues-speaking and the miraculous gifts of the early
churches. I have built a large library of materials on this subject and have
interviewed Pentecostals and Charismatics and attended their churches in many
parts of the world. I have also attended large Charismatic conferences with
press credentials. I have approached these studies with an open mind in the
sense of having a commitment only to the truth and not to anyone’s tradition. I
am a member of an independent Baptist church but Baptist doctrine and practice
is not my authority; the Bible is. Each fresh evaluation of the
Pentecostal-Charismatic movement has brought an increased conviction that it is
unscriptural and dangerous. This book begins with my own experience with the
Pentecostal movement. The next section deals with the history of the Pentecostal
movement, beginning with a survey of miraculous signs from the second to the
18th centuries. We then examine the movements in the 19th century that led up to
the creation of Pentecostalism and the outbreak of “tongues-speaking” at Charles
Parham’s Bible school in Topeka, Kansas, in 1901, and at William Seymour’s Azusa
Street Mission in Los Angeles in 1906. We examine some of the major Pentecostal
denominations, the Latter Rain Covenent, the major Pentecostal healing
evangelists, the Sharon Schools and the New Order of the Latter Rain, the
Manifest Sons of God, the Word-Faith movement and its key leaders, the
Charismatic Movement, the Roman Catholic Charismatic Renewal, the Pentecostal
Prophets, the Third Wave, and the recent Pentecostal scandals. We conclude the
historical section with a look at the Laughing Revival. In the last section of
the book we deal with the theological errors of the Pentecostal-Charismatic
movements (exalting experience over Scripture, emphasis on the miraculous,
Messianic and apostolic miracles can be reproduced, the baptism of the Holy
Spirit, the baptism of fire, exalting the Holy Spirit, tongues speaking is for
today, sinless perfectionism, healing is guaranteed in the atonement, spirit
slaying, spirit drunkenness, visions of Jesus, trips to heaven, women preachers,
and ecumenism). The final section of the book answers the question: “Why are
people deluded by Pentecostal-Charismatic error?” David and Tami Lee, former
Pentecostals, after reviewing a section of the book said: “Very well done! We
pray God will use it to open the eyes of many and to help keep many of His
children out of such deception.” And Mary Keating, also a former Charismatic,
said, “The book is excellent and I have no doubt whatever that the Lord is going
to use it in a mighty way. Amen!!” 317 pages. $9.95, available from Way of Life

Vision America Board Member on Slavery

Rev. Rick Scarborough of Lufkin, Texas based Vision America chose Southern Baptist Convention leader Rev. Adrian Rogers to sit on his Board. Here are a few of Adrian Rogers quotes. He is not on the board anymore because he is deceased...dead. Rogers didn't appear to like LGBT people either!

You are judged Rev. Rick by the [neato] friends you keep.

Adrian Rogers, a key leader in the 1980s of the fundamentalist movement in the Southern Baptist Convention, when asked by a non-fundamentalist pastor how he interpreted a particular biblical passage that condoned slavery, responded, "I feel slavery is a much maligned institution. If we had slavery today we would not have such a welfare problem."

Ridiculous Rev Rick Ranting Post Election

I was so amazed when I read this yesterday that I wasted an hour of my life responding to Rev. Rick. Then I realized that some people can not be helped. He states near the end that he will continue his battle until either (a) the big Rapture Day Event or (b) his death. It seems rather UNchristian to pray for this crazy Rapture Day considering I am going to supposedly be "Left Out" and all, doesn't it?

Most folks do not have a good understanding of how mean spirited and narrow minded these right win extremist preachers are or how much influence they have in our country. They are not moral, and not the majority. Out them. Expose their hypocracy!

Rick Scarborough Special Report - Decision 2006

After spending all day Wednesday, reflecting on the outcomes of the elections Tuesday, I have decided to devote this edition of the Rick Scarborough Report to sharing what the Lord has spoken to me. Hopefully what I have to say will offer some encouragement as well as provide a stimulus for greater engagement in this battle for the soul of America.

First, let me say, I went to bed early Tuesday night and slept soundly. That may sound odd, but by 9PM it was apparent to me that voters were in a mood to rebuke the Republican Party for her failure to keep her promises, and my assumption was that in the two states where we invested so much time, resources and energy, we likely would fall short on the values issues we had worked for, so I cut the light out and went to bed.

Why? You ask. Because I have learned that the work is ours to do; the results belong to God. I once heard Adrian Rogers say that the reward for unrighteous living is unrighteous leaders, and that is exactly what God seems to be giving us for this time. We must always remember that God is still sovereign, He is still in control and His will cannot be thwarted.

I have no doubt that the Democratically controlled Congress will be more faithful to their Party’s platform and key constituent groups than the Republican Party has been to theirs. There will be no consensus building and outreach efforts when San Francisco Representative, Speaker Pelosi takes control of committee assignments.

When Republicans Act Like Democrats They Lose

When I consider that after 12 years of Republican control of the U.S. House and six years of the Party of Values controlling all three branches of government, that we still have uncontrolled immigration, cannot define marriage as being between a man and woman, allow abortion on demand through the ninth month, and face spiraling deficits while government has grown more than when the Democrats were in office, I get angry inside. As my good friend, Pastor Ken Hutchinson has said, "When Democrats act like Republicans, they win; When Republicans act like Democrats, they lose."

The bottom line is this: Today, both parties have closed their ears to the millions of us Americans who still believe the Bible is relevant and that the Constitution should be upheld. We believe that healthy families produce the best citizens; that children prosper and mature best with a daddy and a mommy in the home who are committed to each other and to their children; that protecting the most innocent and helpless in our midst is the primary role of government; that strong national defense and secure borders are a prerequisite to freedom; and that freedom is a gift of God, not government. And finally, government which governs least governs best.

It is amazingly revealing that in every state except possibly one (Arizona is still in the process of counting votes) where a Defense of Marriage Amendment has been proposed, it has passed with overwhelming popular support from both sides of the political divide. Yet Republican candidates often run from the issue, and the duly elected Representatives of the people cannot muster enough votes for a simple majority on the issue, let alone the necessary majority for a Federal Constitutional Amendment when debating it just before every election cycle. George Allen would be the Senator from Virginia and the Senate would still be controlled by Republicans if he, like the majority of citizens of his state, had come out against gay marriage.

So much for confirming one or two more conservative Supreme Court justices during the Bush Presidency!

Values Voters in America Have Been Betrayed

Values Voters in America have been betrayed and we stand on the precipice of grave judgment if America does not repent. Radical Islam may be the tool that God uses to perfect His judgment upon a nation that began with such hope for the world, but one which has squandered it all in one generation of self indulgence. There is increasing public awareness of how radical Islam is preparing for all out Jihad on American soil.

Two state referendums failed on Tuesday which bode ill for the Nation. First, in Missouri, the people voted by the slimmest of margins to ratify a Constitutional Amendment which allows scientists to clone human embryos for the express purpose of extracting stem cells while destroying human life at the earliest stages of development. In effect, Missouri has the first Constitutional amendment in the history of America which mandates an abortion as the Amendment demands that the embryo be destroyed or frozen by the 14th day.

In South Dakota, the citizens overturned the courageous legislation of their legislators who passed a comprehensive abortion ban which surely would have ended up in the Supreme Court, giving us the best chance in 33 years to overturn Roe v. Wade. In both states, the pro-death forces, fully understanding the implications of both referendums, poured almost endless resources touting their side as being compassionate and caring…and the people bought it.

Death Prevails in America

So death prevails in America. The most innocent among us are now in jeopardy, while the Church sleeps on. This is not unusual, it has been going on for more than fifty years…but the stakes are now exponentially higher. Why? Because for the first time, it wasn’t JUDGES MANDATING IT BUT RATHER IT WAS VOTED ON BY THE PEOPLE…AND THE CHURCH STOOD BY AND LET IT HAPPEN!!!!

Pastors are truly the moral leaders of our nation. If they don’t lead their flocks to political involvement, what hope is there for society to benefit from Christian "salt and light?" As we all know, too many Pastors and Christians have been passive and caught in the sins of Sodom "arrogant, overfed and unconcerned."

Yet, there are bright lights and much great work has been done!

We saw Catholic Priests and Baptist pastors fight mightily together in Missouri and we can be heartened by this. Yet, we have a stark reminder that Christians are not "one" issue voters and felt betrayed by the Republicans failure to keep their promises. Perhaps good can come from this as Christians made clear they are loyal to Christian issues and not a party. If neither party supports our issues, how can we support them? While we know the pro-life Democrat is a rare person indeed, we must keep a clear line of who we are serving. Perhaps this is the pain the Republican Party needed to decide if they want to truly keep past promises to evangelicals as we head into 2008. We pray God raises up true Christian candidates for that election.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Back to work. Though I believe the hour is late, I do not believe it is too late. Though I believe the odds are stacked against us, I believe that God by Himself is a majority, and though without Him we can do nothing, with Him we can do all things for Christ gives us our strength. (Philippians 4:13).

It is entirely possible that to have liberal values being pushed on our nation by Congress for the next two years may be the best thing that could happen, although a very hard lesson for us to go through. It will show people a stark difference between conservative values and liberal values, and should motivate values voters to show up in even greater numbers the next time we have the God-given privilege to select our leaders again.

I have to add that even with a loss we won. The coalition that came together in the states we were in was across denominational lines, and unlike anything that has come together before. And it wasn’t a group coming together that was just putting up with each other because of the issue; it was a like-minded, like-hearted group that walked in love with each other. Even though we lost, we won.

We must continue to work while there is still daylight, for the night time is coming when no man can work, and I remind us all that right after the crucifixion of our Lord, while His disciples were cringing in fear, thinking all was lost, He rose from the dead and defeated sin, sickness and the grave!

As long as Jesus is real in one heart, there is hope. "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness!" Who knows but that God is ready to give our nation a genuine revival if we remain vigilant and faithful. Til Jesus comes or I die, I intend to press on.

God's Word Speaks To Us Today

God spoke to my heart through His infallible Word on Wednesday. I went to the woods, shortly before dawn, with my Bible and my journal. As I watched a gorgeous sunrise over deep East Texas, Psalm 37 jumped off the page. A portion of it reads:

Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for they will soon wither and like green plants they will die away.
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your ways to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways and when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it only leads to evil.
For wicked men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land;
Psalm 37:1-9

Thank you, for standing with us.

I am…your friend,

Rick Scarborough

Death of Values Voters

Good Riddance!

http://www.thenation.com/blogs/notion?pid=136830

excerpt from thenation.com

"Since the New Jersey Supreme Court issued its ruling on same-sex unions, Bush and the religious right have amped up their gay-baiting rhetoric in a last ditch effort to turn out so-called values voters. On the stump in Missouri and Montana -- where polls show Democrats Claire McCaskill and Jon Tester in dead heats with their GOP opponents -- Bush once again raised the specter of "activist judges." Of course, the Haggard scandal threatens to puncture these desperate measures, but even before Pastor Ted's sex, drugs and voicemail indiscretions surfaced, all signs indicated that anti-gay marriage measures have failed to motivate vaunted values voters.

I've been speaking with organizers in the eight states (WI, CO, AZ, SD, VA, TN, SC, ID) where defense of marriage amendments are on the ballot. You'll find a partial report below. I'll update this post with more state dispatches, so check back again.

A few broad patterns have become clear. First, the New Jersey decision has had little impact on state campaigns; the right-wing has ticked up its rhetoric, but there's no discernible shift in polls or mood at the state level. Second, marriage amendments will have little impact on top of the ticket races, which have been focused on either the Iraq War or locally hot issues like immigration (AZ) or abortion (SD). Third, even GOP candidates and right-wing activists have shied away from emphasizing their support of marriage amendments; it's in their arsenal but not their best weapon. Finally, 2006 may be a watershed year. A set of smart, scrappy, grassroots campaigns are poised to make history, becoming the first to defeat anti-gay marriage amendments at the voting booth.

Raising Arizona

On election day Arizonans will vote on Prop. 107, the "Protect Marriage Arizona Amendment." Modeled after far-reaching bans like Ohio's, Prop. 107 would not only define marriage as a "union between one man and one woman," but also bar the state from recognizing any status that is "similar to that of marriage" (civil unions, domestic partnerships and reciprocal beneficiaries). For over a year polls have consistently predicted that Prop. 107 would fail, and although numbers have tightened -- the most recent polls still tip against the amendment but fall within the margin of error -- No on 107 campaign chair Cindy Jordan is optimistic that Arizona will reject the amendment.

This result -- should it occur -- wasn't necessarily preordained. Republicans have dominated state politics since 1950. And while the Grand Canyon state can turn out streaky conservatives like Goldwater, McCain, Kyl and retiring, gay Congressman Jim Kolbe, it's also home to a robust and organized Christian right who've propped up candidates like Congressional nominee Randy Graf and Republican gubernatorial candidate Len Munsil."

Response to Rev. Rick Scarborough's Post Election Analysis

Did all these right wing nutcase preachers have a big conference call and decide to spread the insane notion that Republicans lost the elections en masse this week because they were too liberal and UNGODly?

Might there be a way Rev. Rick where we could knock some sense into your big narrow minded head?
p
Voters overwhelmingly rejected (1)this War that you so adamently support. Voter are sick and tired also of (2)the extremist Christian leadership's assault on America(3) your mean spirited and constant Gospel of Hate speech directed at LGBT people, an(4) your lobbying for legislation we do not neeed in America.

Before you blame Republican leadership or the President for not doing more to further your Hate Agenda and Assault on America, why not head to the nearest mirror and check out a major reason why Democrats are now in charge. I think much of your patriot pastor membership and your value voters coalition have finally started to see you and your group as the hypocrites that you are. The tragic Pastor

Further, why was there such a huge voter turnout of young Americans voting for Democrats this year? Same story. You are not men of God in their eyes, you are the definition of the word Hypocrite. They associate Baptists as homophobic, intolerant, and borderline pathetic.

Republicans were slaughtered this week sir in large part because of the guy you see in the mirror and all and your friends, like father of the year Alan Keyes and James Dobson and Janet Folger and James Kennedy and Pastor Ted and Ralph Reed and Tom Delay and Ms. Delay and Exodus and the AFA and Bishop Wellington and Justice Sunday and WN Otwell and Roy Moore and the Christian Coalition and Fred Phelps and the KKK and the Texas GOP and Jerry Falwell and Pat Roberson, etc etc.

Your Vision for America has been overwhelmingly rejected Rev. Rick Scarborough. Enough is Enough!

Rick Scarborough

All You Values Voters Line Up.

America has a fresh baked cream pie ready for each of you. Mr. Dobson, you stand up front.

Who is Rev. WN Otwellof Mt. Enterprise?

WN Otwell is #2 in the Fred Phelps hate war, a major homophobe, white supremicist nutbag. He is also a friend and neighbor of Rev. Rick Scarborough of Vision America. Scarborough asked Rev. Otwell to attend his Alabama Judge Moore Ten Commandments rally. Otwell was arrested. Read this guys comments on women and blacks and you will be amazed that anyone in the United States could be so stupid and sheltered.

Otwell ran for Governor way back and advocated that all Texas homosexuals be rounded up and sent to one state. Good thing everyone knows what a moron he is -- I would have hated to have been sent to a gay concentration camp by this nutcase friend of Rev. Scarborough. The good news is he has been sick, fat, and old.

Matthew Shepard is in heaven Rev. Otwell, you and Fred Phelps and your pathetic little brainwashed children may not be so lucky.

“God Said” MINISTRIES:
NEWS RELEASE
Pastor W.N. Otwell
P.O. Box 369
Mt. Enterprise, TX 75681
903-822-3669
Date: June 16, 1998
Subject: Otwell and members of “God Said” Ministries challenge the New Black Panthers’ violent march in Jasper, TX.

Pastor W.N. Otwell and a group of men from “God Said” Ministries of Mt. Enterprise, Texas will travel to Jasper, Texas on Wednesday, June 17th, to challenge and address the Black Panthers marching with long weapons down the streets of Jasper last Saturday, June 13th. Otwell will hold a news conference at the County Courthouse at 12 Noon.

Otwell will also denounce the heinous and brutal killing of James Byrd, Jr., and give his condolences to the family.

But one of the main reasons for going to Jasper, is to challenge and condemn the Black Panthers’ message of murdering of all whites, and not being challenged by the City, County, State or Federal Governments for such incitement of hatred, mob violence and riot.

He also wants to draw attention to the hypocrisy and double standards used by the public officials toward the white man and the black man. Whereas the white man would never be allowed to express such hate and violence toward blacks and other races, the black man is allowed to spew all manner of hate, bigotry and racism, and to incite violence toward the white man.

If a white man would have stood and said what Khallid Mohammad said, on national news or out in the public, President Clinton, Congress, Janet Reno, the FBI and all the law enforcement agencies would be condemning the white man everywhere, and probably would arrest them,” says Otwell. “Where are our courageous leaders who would dare challenge and address Khallid Mohammad?”

“If I were sheriff of Dallas County (Dallas), Hunt Co. (Greenville), or Jasper Co. (Jasper), or any other county, these terrorists wound not march with high powered weapons, and make their intimidating, terroristic threats without the National Guard surrounding me and stripping me from my elected position, to keep me from stopping them. I would let them know, real quick, that they weren’t the biggest, baddest thing on the block, and that they were subject to the rule of law, just like everyone else. They would not be promoting anarchy at the end of a (gun) barrel,” said Otwell. “There’d be bloodshed before they would be allowed to walk down the streets terrorizing citizens with demonstrations of violence, That goes for the KKK and anyone else, too!”

Pastor Otwell says he has been called a hatemonger, idiot, bigot, narrow-minded, Khadaffi, Jim Jones, Hitler and the devil himself, because he denounces the abortion of the innocent unborn babies, his stand against sodomy, homosexuality, the militant feminist movement and other wickedness. “They are all wicked sins against God, our families and America, and are devastating to our nation’s morals and spiritual well-being,” declares Otwell. “But to allow and to condone Khallid Mohammad and the Black Panthers to continue their crusade to kill all whites and to incite riots, and violence against whites, must be stopped—especially by being allowed to carry long guns down the streets of this nation, especially with a threatening, terrorizing intent.”

“What they are demonstrating is no different than what the three white men did to Byrd. The same violence was in them to do to James Byrd, Jr. The Black Panthers have the same violent attitudes toward whites. These Black Panthers must be stopped, also.”

“What was not said was that one week before this murder, there was the brutal bludgeoning murder of a white man, by a black man with a pipe. But where was the outcry from the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Khallid Mohammad, the media the elected officials?”

“Our elected officials, from Gov. George Bush, Sen. Kay Hutchinson, heads of law enforcement agencies, the local mayor and county commissioners, are far more concerned about their political careers and their jobs than they are about their elected duty. They have been elected to uphold the laws that protect our people from the threats of violence, including the inciting of violence from the Black Panthers to kill all whites and to march, in what we believe to be a violent display of weapons, through the streets of our cities.”

“And where was Kay Hutchinson’s denunciation of the Black Panthers and their terroristic actions and threats?,” Otwell wants to know. “She condemned the brutal murder of the black man, but said nothing about the brutal threats and intimidation coming from the militant, racist blacks. Where are the preachers and church ministries on this?” said Otwell.

“The government burned the Davidians’ men, women, and children because they were ‘armed and dangerous.’ They shot and killed Randy Weaver’s wife and teenage boy over a shotgun that was a quarter inch too short, and Randy and his family were non-violent. But Khallid Mohammad and the Black Panthers can openly threaten the ‘white crackers’…with mob violence and murder, and get by with it. They have forced the Texas cities of Dallas, Greenville, and Jasper to allow them to march with guns down their streets.”

“It seems like, to me, that law enforcement and elected officials are bending over backwards to kiss the butt of the militant blacks, either for fear or political reasons,” said Otwell. “We’ve heard the Ku Klux Klan condemned for their hatred of blacks, but where is the condemnation from the same officials for the Black Panthers?” asks Otwell.

One sheriff, of a nearby county, told Otwell recently, that he told some of his men, “If that had been Pastor Otwell who had said and done these things, they would have arrested him and charged him with a hate crime.” He also said that if the Black Panthers were to try to march in his county with guns, especially if he believed it was with a threatening intent, “it would not happen.”

Otwell says he has proven, without a doubt, that there is hypocrisy in the judicial and political systems. “Members of my church and I have been arrested, and I was fined $97,000 and our Boys’ Home shut down because of no license, which we didn’t need, according to the Bible and the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. It was a church ministry, totally supported by the church, I was arrested and jailed twice — once with other men from the church, in Ft. Worth — for feeding the homeless at the churches’ expense, and I was fined $87,000. I have been jailed for standing against the murder of innocent, unborn babies, My men have been arrested for preaching on the street, passing out gospel tracts. Rocky, my son, was arrested in Washington, D.C., for standing against the wickedness of sodomy at a church Bill Clinton was attending. I was even threatened by a county judge here in Nacogdoches, that he would “throw my butt in jail” just for protesting on County Courthouse property.

Scarborough Archives - Book Release

So you think this Rick Scarborough guy is some middle of the road mainstream family guy? Think again. One blogger described him best --an "ASSCLOWN" How true. Maybe Rev Rick should investigate the fundiebitch Janet Folgers anti gay hate ad campaign and how it impacted the life of Matthew Shepard -- and his murderers.

Best analysis of "Liberalism Kills Kids" is at Shakespeare's Sister
http://shakespearessister.blogspot.com/2006/03/liberalism-kills-kids.html

Excerpt:

Although claiming that abortions kill children isn’t exactly groundbreaking in its irritating yet tiresomely familiar mendacity, the assertion that children born out of wedlock, witness their parents’ divorces, or come out of the closet apparently drop dead is, I admit, some admirable trailblazing lunacy. Then again, maybe Dr. Scarborough isn’t suggesting that those things quite literally kill kids, but Liberalism Provides for Nontraditional Family Structures I Don’t Like isn’t quite as catchy a title.

"Liberalism Kills Kids" indicts many of the same forces to be discussed at the War On Christians conference -- Hollywood, the news media, the judiciary and organizations like the ACLU, which -- in the guise of promoting civil liberties -- are demolishing the social order.
Oh, I see. Demolishing the social order. That isn’t really the same as killing kids, is it? There are plenty of things that have the capacity to actually kill kids in America—endemic poverty leading to malnutrition/starvation, lack of access to affordable healthcare (including cutting-edge treatments and drugs), corporate irresponsibility and lax environmental regulations, guns, the kind of opportunistic hatemongering that plays on prejudices and can spiral into hate crimes which leave gay teenagers hanging dead on fences, just for a start. Curiously, what all those things have in common is that they wouldn’t make a good fit with the title Liberalism Kills Kids. I’m sure there’s a more appropriate title, but, gosh, it’s just escaping me at the moment

WASHINGTON, March 24 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Vision America President Dr. Rick Scarborough will unveil his new book, "Liberalism Kills Kids," at The War on Christians Conference (March 27 and 28, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.)

As well as the president of Vision America, Scarborough is the conference organizer. He's also one of the keynote speakers at the Monday evening banquet, along with U.S. Senator John Cornyn.

"Liberalism Kills Kids" is a groundbreaking work which documents the devastating failure of America's 40-year experiment with liberal statism. From the deaths of 44 million unborn children, to skyrocketing rates of out-of-wedlock births, to the divorce epidemic, to the destructive demands of the movement to normalize homosexuality -- the book exposes a cultural coup d'etat that has left our families gasping for air.

"Liberalism Kills Kids" indicts many of the same forces to be discussed at the War On Christians conference -- Hollywood, the news media, the judiciary and organizations like the ACLU, which -- in the guise of promoting civil liberties -- are demolishing the social order.

"Liberalism Kills Kids" is published by 21st. Century Press. The cover price is $19.95, and copies will be available for sale at the conference.

Don't Attack Sen. Danforth Rev. Hypocrite

Apparently a lot of Americans spoke pretty loud last night Rev. Scarborough. All that time you spent in Missouri and South Dakota ranting and raving about abortion and stem cell research and that "radical homosexual agenda" with that team of clowns disguised as Christians!

Had you not whipped up such anti gay hysteria and hate speech you might have been truly "slaughtered" at the polls yesterday versus just getting your a** whooped pretty darn bad!

God bless that Michael J. Fox! Did you know that he is #2 fundraiser for Parkinsons research topped only by the U.S. government. Remember when Christians and preachers and churches took up human rights causes, funded charities, and fed the hungry.

I realize you have little time for such "nonsense" because you have a direct ear to George B, a first class seat on Continentals Houston to DC flight, coaches like Tom Delay, books to sign down at the local hate rally, and a few public buildings in need of a plastic Ten Commandments wall statue.

John Danforth is not "attacking" Christians Rev. Scarborough. You however; are offending many Christian people of faith. Give it up please!

John Danforth's attack on Christians

By Rick Scarborough
http://www.worldnetdaily.com
Nov. 2 2007

Just when I thought I'd heard it all, I came across former U.S. Sen. John Danforth's attack on Christian activists.

While promoting his new book, "Faith and Politics, How the 'Moral Values' Debate Divides America and How to Move Forward Together," Sen. Danforth urged his Republican Party to "disengage" from the Christian voters ? who have enabled it to win the last three national elections ? saying religion has become too divisive a force in American politics.

Danforth, 70, an Episcopal priest, said politics today is too polarized and that the GOP spends too much time trying to appeal to the Christian right which, in reality, is the party's base. "I think it is bad for the country and ultimately the Republican Party," Danforth declared.

Danforth says he remains a loyal Republican but believes GOP leaders should speak out against the religious right and move toward the center location from which it lost election after election in the past. "On a whole host of issues I would be with the Republicans," the senator maintained. "I just want them to disengage themselves from the Christian right."

Danforth cited same-sex marriage as an example of Republican pandering to Christians. The issue lacks substance and is used to "make people angry and win political support," the senator said. As a member of the Senate for 18 years, Danforth said he "spent every day worrying about the budget and never worried a minute about gay marriage. Now it's the other way around."

Perhaps the senator has forgotten that this is a war Christians didn't chose. Before activist judges began forcing their immorality on the American people, deconstructing marriage and imposing a radical homosexual agenda upon an unsuspecting public, I didn't get up worrying about gay marriage, either. Now I get up every day thinking about the millions of school-age children in this country who are being brainwashed to believe that what God calls an abomination is natural and acceptable.

Danforth likes to remind us that he is an ordained minister, but he long since abandoned the faith.

He opposed both the federal and state Marriage Amendments, which Missourians favored by overwhelming majorities.

Now he is supporting the clone-to-kill amendment to the Missouri Constitution. Shame on you, Rev. Danforth. If you insist on ignoring God's Word, at least honor our nation's founding document: The Declaration of Independence reads, "We hold these truths to be self evident; that all men are CREATED equal, and endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable rights. ..." God is the Creator and every living person, regardless of age or stage of development, is granted the right to life that can only be violated, never abolished.

As for his assertion that the religious right is bad for his party, I remind him that without the base of the religious voters, there would be no Republican majority in Congress.

Clearly, Danforth's theological liberalism has led him to embrace political liberalism as well. Over the past six months, he has been the leading voice in the Missouri debate to legalize the making of cloned human beings for the purpose of extracting embryonic stem cell lines, then destroying the embryos.

The senator has repeatedly asserted, in a $30 million propaganda campaign, that he is pro-life and that the proposed amendment to the Missouri Constitution would ban human cloning. But every medical journal in the world acknowledges that the process of somatic cell nuclear transfer, or SCNT, which the amendment advances, is cloning.

Sen. Danforth has either ignorantly or purposefully misrepresented the truth and attempted to convince Missouri voters who trust him that this amendment is good for the state. Now, a coalition of diverse religious communities are calling his hand on this fraudulent sales pitch, and he stands to lose credibility and stature. Missourians do not respond well to being misled. While slick ads are being aired hourly across Missouri, saying that the religious community has a divided view on this amendment, the truth is the leaders of virtually every major denomination in the state have come out against this wicked proposal.

I take no joy in speaking out against a man who devoted most of his adult life to public service, but this frontal attack on values voters cannot go unchallenged.

My recommendation to the leaders of the Republican Party is to separate from so-called moderate Republicans, who, like their Democratic counterparts, embrace secular humanism and reject absolute truth. When the Republican Party leadership embraces its own national platforms and begins to stand courageously for Judeo-Christian values, they will find that many more values voters will rally to their banner. And perhaps then, politicians like John Danforth will have a conversion and see the way home to the faith of their fathers. Christians from both parties, as well as the millions who don't participate at all, are waiting and praying for a party to arise that will unashamedly stand for traditional values.

--Rick Scarborough is founder and president of Vision America, an organization whose mission is to "inform and mobilize pastors and their congregations to become salt and light, becoming pro-active in restoring Judeo-Christian values in America

Dear Don:
Maybe your churches are forced to lay off staff en masse because you are losing members, losing dollars in the plate every Sunday, losing your flock to other churches which might "get it" --something very few if any Baptist churches get.
Good riddance, may they all find a new job at gay friendly Wal Mart -your regions largest employer! Unlike your ridiculous hate campaign suggesting that Islam is taking over America, this one is easy to figure out. You are losing staff because you are a bunch of hateful old mean spirited idiots with no understanding of God's true message.

Your comments:

"Our SBC’s Baptist Press released an article Oct. 4 titled, “Study: 1,300-plus dismissed from Baptist church staffs in ’05.” What a tragedy to the name of Christ and the testimony of Christ to the lost world. It is not confined to smaller churches either. We know of two mega churches in a terrible situation in a neighboring state and numerous smaller churches of our state."

“Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: no sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom."

On behalf of everyone of us who thinks you are a total moron, please leave the female hookers behind! Why can they inherit God's kingdom when the male hookers can not! Seems unfair to me.

Questions: Is masturbation considered immoral? Can I inherit the kingdom if I occasionally pull out Mr. Fun for a little non procreating fun?

Are hypocrite pastors Left Behind too? Greedy people will rule out most televangelists I am afraid. Adulterers too, yikes! Bad news apparently for Jews, atheist, Buddhist, Mormons, Catholics?,Witches,Divorcees, Rich Folks, Homos, Lesbos, Bisexuals, and those Transgenerationals! Will Rev. Lahayes homosexual son also be Left Behind?

Tiny little narrow minded kingdom you re looking at there, sir. Personally it sounds boring and we have had enough of your hate here already, so.....

.....Might it be possible for you and your flock of hateful assholes to Pre Rapture yourselves right out of our World NOW!

Just leave the damn female prostitutes! Buh Bye! Move Along. Be Gone With You!

Gordon McDonald Gets It

I am not familiar with Gordon McDonald the evangelist, but he gets it. In his piece on Pastor Ted Haggard he writes on http://www.christianitytoday.com

"Ever since the beginning of the Bush administration, I have worried over the tendency of certain Evangelical personalities to go public every time they visited the White House or had a phone conference with an administration official. I know it has wonderful fund-raising capabilities. And I know the temptation to ego-expansion when one feels that he has the ear of the President. But the result is that we are now part of an evangelical movement that is greatly compromised—identified in the eyes of the public as deep in the hip pockets of the Republican party and administration. My own belief? Our movement has been used.

There are hints that the movement—once cobbled together by Billy Graham and Harold Ockenga—is beginning to fragment because it is more identified by a political agenda that seems to be failing and less identified by a commitment to Jesus and his kingdom. Like it or not, we are pictured as those who support war, torture, and a go-it-alone (bullying) posture in international relationships. Any of us who travel internationally have tasted the global hostility toward our government and the suspicion that our President's policies reflect the real tenants of Evangelical faith.

And I might add that there is considerable disillusionment on the part of many of our Christian brothers/sisters in other countries who are mystified as to where American evangelicals are in all of this. Our movement may have its Supreme Court appointments, but it may also have compromised its historic center of Biblical faith. Is it time to let the larger public know that some larger-than-life evangelical personalities with radio and TV shows do not speak for all of us?"

Very true Mr. McDonald; except is seems that most of these guys (Falwell, Robertson, LaHaye, Rick Scarborough) are more driven by their own egos and pocketbooks than they are by God. They protect their diamond mines and lear jets, cherish their Presidential photo-ops, preach against issues like gambling while supporting gambling lobbyist, spend more time bashing Gay and Lesbian families and Americans than they do supporting heterosexual Christian families; are too busy advising our families to look inside at their own, fail to understand that they turn people away from Christianity, do not represent many of us, and basically need to just shut up.

I agree with you, but to compare hypocrite TVangelicals like Foot in mouth Falwell or Gold Medalist Liar on the Legpress Pat Robertson to a Rev. Billy Graham is a huge stretch.

Pastor Ted on John Paulk

How ironic that these Preachers,Closet Cases, Ex Gays, and Homo Obsessed Straight Men are working so hard to stop Gays and Lesbians from Adopting Children...offering them a home in many cases for the first time!

I want to interview the children of John Paulk, and Pastor Ted Haggard, and all these other "outed" self hating homopobic Marys. Your high school aged children will really understand the hypocracy and selfishness of their dads (or moms)

Should these children be removed from your home?

COLORADO SPRINGS. Nov. 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Focus on the Family founder and Chairman James C. Dobson, Ph.D., issued the following statement today addressing an allegation by a male prostitute in Denver that Ted Haggard was one of his clients:

"It is unconscionable that the legitimate news media would report a rumor like this based on nothing but one man's accusation. Ted Haggard is a friend of mine and it appears someone is trying to damage his reputation as a way of influencing the outcome of Tuesday's election -- especially the vote on Colorado's marriage-protection amendment -- which Ted strongly supports.

"He has shown a great deal of grace under these unfortunate circumstances, quickly turning this matter over to his church for an independent investigation. That is a testament to the character I have seen him exhibit over and over again through the years."

Pastor Ted Bites The ...

Well Well Well. Another hypocrite Mary disguised as a Colorado Megachurch televangelical friend of fake Christian Dobson?

I had never even heard of Colorado megachurch leader Pastor Ted Haggard until today. Apparently he was possibly outed by his local male Colorado hooker who says he has damning evidence, and also says Pastor Ted like to snort a little meth prior to assuming the position. While this one still needs to be proved, I can say for sure that (1) My Gadar bell rang pretty loud when I first saw this guys photo and even more when I pulled him up on YouTube.

When my GayDar goes off, it is usually right on target. My only question might be why would Pastor Ted (who resigned today from his 14,000 member church and as President of some holier than thou Evangelical Association) hire an old hooker (the guy was in his late forties)?

Hey Ted, try Manhunt.net instead you tina freak....and don't leave your voice on you favorite local hooker's voicemail over at Rentboy.com.

All you sodomites join with me and pray this one is a true one.

Out! Out! All Hypocrites

Does Pastor Ted Like to give head? Stay tuned.

This may be a Rick Scarborough First

I do not think I have ever seen an email or Rick Scarborough post which does NOT bash gay and lesbians...all he wants here is your money and a prayer. Progress?

Message from Rick Scarborough:
When I hear a cry for help I have to respond.

Vision America has been working hard in Missouri for the past few
months and we have been seeing incredible response from ministers
across the state. We are seeing the pulpits of this state ringing
forth with a declaration of truth; motivating Christians to get
involved and to make a difference.

In the midst of our work South Dakota cried out for help!

And we answered!

Missouri is in the national spotlight as a deceptive cloning amendment
is being foisted on its citizens by special interest groups with deep
pockets, and the key to protecting unborn children from exploitation
is Christians.

South Dakota is also fighting for the protection of the unborn and
attempting to stop the genocide that takes place under legalized
abortion.

When I return to South Dakota this weekend to speak alongside Alan
Keyes and Dr. James Dobson, this will be the third trip I will have
made into the state.

So now I am asking you for help, above and beyond your current
support, and pray that you will respond.

http://www.visionamerica.us/site/R?i=wr_5_56kZkFG070Xks3BdQ..

We did not budget for our work in South Dakota and we need your help
in meeting the needs that have arisen.

I know if you could, you would be on the ground with me in Missouri
and South Dakota. Vision America allows you to be there! Vision
America allows you to make a difference in the key battles our nation
is facing!

As a partner, as a friend, I need your help.

Your donation of any amount will help. No matter how much you can
give, every donation makes a difference. And every donation goes
directly to saving the life of an unborn child and allows us to
prepare for the next battle our nation will face.

Additionally, thanks to a matching grant, your donation is doubled
immediately. Your donation will make a huge impact. Please take action
today by clicking here.

http://www.visionamerica.us/site/R?i=x1DldPu93kVHumrjwL9pGA..

Thank you for your support, especially to those who give every month.
Maybe the next battle is in your state, and the next cry for help will
come from you. Vision America needs your support so that we can
answer.

RNC's Ken Mehlman -- Gay?

So is Ken Mehlman the next Republican closet case to be outed? Considering his praise for Delay, I say if you have information....now is the time to show the lunacy and hypocracy of the Republican Party.

Check out the video and BlogActive's questions to Mr. Republican.

From a Chris Matthews interview with Tom Delay
MATTHEWS: Ken Mehlman, the chairman of your party, said something pretty nice about you
tonight and I think you’d have to respond to it:
“The essence of leadership is not just coming up with good ideas, it’s making those good ideas happen. For the past two decades, Tom DeLay has tirelessly and successfully transformed very important ideas into very successful laws. Conservative legislation from welfare reform and a balanced budget, to tax relief, education reform and a ban on partial-birth abortion all bear the signature of Tom DeLay.”
DELAY: Well, that’s very nice to say, but there were a lot of other Republicans that did that too.
